Make a good first impression: Buyers will drive by your house before calling for an appointment. Make sure that your yard is mowed, watered, shrubs are trimmed, a few potted flowers, anything that makes nice curb appeal.

CLEAN YOUR HOUSE! You would be surprised how many people do not clean up their homes before showing. The buyers will be entering in the front door. Make sure that area smells good - ie. a candle burning that smells like something is baking or a plug in air freshener like Yankee Candle Clean Cotton. Do not use inexpensive plug-ins! Another option would be to spray Lysol Neutra Air. Be sure to vacuum!

Clear up the clutter! Please! Clear off all counter tops except for one center piece and hand soap. Clean out closets and cabinets because buyers will certainly look

No pets inside! Most people love pets, but many are allergic. Even if they are not allergic, some people think inside pets make the house dirty. When showing the house, please take the pets with you or put them outside. It is a good idea to get your carpets cleaned professionally.

Light up the house! Let the sunlight in and turn on all lamps and lights. Turn the ceiling fans on low.

Make space in closets and garage. Buyers will definately take a look! Make it look BIG!

Clean the refrigerator and stove. No grease stains! Pull the stove and refrigerator out and clean behind them if possible.

Wash the windows!

Clean the bathrooms thoroughly. No molds or mildew. Put out fresh white towels

The kitchen is VERY important! Make it look great and remove all clutter.
